Default How/where do I delete pre-installed (and lame) ringtones and

My phone is the Audiovox SMT5600.
Where are the stock sounds stored?
In particular, I'm looking for the location of the preinstalled rintones and sounds for email, messages and alarms: Beep, Descending, Arpeggio, etc.)

PS My phone plays MP3's as ringtones and other sounds just fine.
It even handled a 17meg 7 minute file.

Thanks,

JC

I think the files you are looking for are stored in the Windows folder. However, deleting them won't do any good. That's a protected folder, and any changes you make to it, will be lost after you restart the phone.

yup yup yup... you can change the directory of your default ring tones but it's as mike says...

if you know how to cook roms, that would be possible... thought i strongly discourage this because it's illegal...
