File Transfer With WMP & SPV C550.

I'm trying to use Window Media Player's Sync Now function to add music to my phone's storage card, but it freezes part-way through the first track each time. It has no problem transfering direct to the phone but will not allow me to transfer files to the memory card. I have recently purchased a 1GB memory card for the phone, but the same problem still occurs. Any ideas what might be causing it?

Oh, I'm using an SPV C550 with SanDisk 1GB Storage Card. That information probably helps some.
