Default Anyone ever use Handbrake? I think it's great!

Handbrake for the Mac is the first software I've ever used that converts movies in a very simple one program process that turn out a micro step shy from my portable dvd player. I've used other products before but Handbrake is free and I just created a StarWars movie file that is 220 megs and a Polar Express movie file that is 190 megs and neither flinch, pause, or stutter at anytime even during the most intensive action scenes. I'm loving this. Here's a link with some screenshots and how to download. Cool program.

Yep, I choose to save it as an avi file. I just encoded the Incredibles and it runs smooth and without a hitch (even during all those fast paced scenes) on my dash using tcpmp. It's great but for now it only works on a Mac. If you have a mac, I highly recommend it.

yes, I've been using it for a few weeks now. It'll convert to avi files for my DASH, or MP4 files for my iPod. Slick little app, and the price is right.
