Who Will Launch The MPx220 First: AT&T Or Cingular?

I am sure by now everyone who had signed up on the Motorola MPx220 promotion page must have received an E-Mail with the above text message. The E-Mail does not give us any hint about the launch date or launch month, all it says is "soon". Recently we heard that Cingular might be launching MPx220 exclusively through Best Buy, and now this E-Mail. So who is it going to be: AT&T or Cingular? :?

I practically need it to be Cingular, because I'm currently stuck in an agreement with them. I don't mind Cingular either, I've never had any problems with them, except that if I get a smartphone now (my first), they don't have a data plan to match.

That's why I'm really hoping they come out with the MPx220 and also some re-vamped data plans at the same time!!!!

What do you all think? Will Cingular update their data plans if they offer a smartphone that would use better data plans?

If I were sitting in Cingular board room. Since I know that my company is going to merge with AT&T. I would try and experiment with new data plans now. To get a feel for what works and what doesn't before the merger. And if it doesn't, change it after the merger. ;-)

But I am afraid things do not work that way. Frankly I don't know Cingular that well. ;-) Also Cingular might think that it does not need aggressive pricing because post merger it will be one of the biggest carriers, it does not have to seek subscribers as aggressively as T-Mobile.
