Default Want to Waterproof Your Windows Mobile Device?

http://blogs.msdn.com/jasonlan/arch...ile-device.aspx

This is just too cool. Click on the link and play the video. Very cool how they've water proofed these devices. According to the gentleman in the video, it isn't available just yet but he claims it will cost around $35-$50 to send in your device and have it coated and waterproofed. Now you can scuba dive and watch videos of Jacques Cousteau at the same time. So what do you think? For the price would you coat your device to water proof it?

That's super cool. I wonder if it helps avoid nicks and scratches, and how it effects screen recognition.

For general usage - probably not.

But for specialized usage, say for someone who spends a lot of time Boating (sail or otherwise), could be well worth the $$.

Also echo the question of what it does to screen recognition.

Pete, no offense intended but I take it you are not a scuba diver. There's a problem with your statement above. I believe this process makes equipment waterproof at the surface. As you dive, increasing pressure forces water into gear at an increasing rate. This is why various underwater cameras or camera housing come with a rating of how deep you are allowed to go. Thought I should post in case someone takes your word and then sends you their broken gear after trying a dive. Cheers

Thanks for the clarification. It was intended to be humorous rather than literal.

Sorry. Didn't mean to be nasty.
