Default T-Mobile Readying WM 6 Dash Update?

http://www.pocketnow.com/index.php?a=portal_detail&t=news&id=4168

"There has been recent activity on message boards speculating that May 4th could be the day that T-Mobile will drop the WM6 ROM upgrade for the T-Mobile Dash... Although unconfirmed, it is hot on the heels of the HTC Europe announcement, so is not unexpected. Anyone out there able to confirm/deny this rumor?"

Is it to be true? Could the Windows Mobile 6 standard (I don't really like that name) upgrade be coming to my cute, soft, and cuddly little T-Mobile Dash within the next two weeks? Pocketnow is hearing rumors and I for one hope they are true. If any of you have any information about this please come forth. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to stare at May 4th on my calendar for a while.

Wow, I sure hope so! I'd love to get my hands on a real, official update for my Dash...

Nope, they've found a couple that don't over at Modaco.

I wouldn't expect everything to work straight away, but all the big names will produce WM6 versions

In theory it should, but with any OS update there are inevitably a couple of programs which don't work right. Usually the stuff that takes advantage of more esoteric features of the OS.

Any thoughts on how device-specific an HTC update might be? Should I be able to install it on a T-Mobile Dash?

Hey Rocco, I found a color version of GI to go with my sandwich. You're right, it did speed things up

The thing I am concerned about is that in the forums people are talking about the sluggish behaviour and memory consumption. I hope that is all because of the Beta/hacked version.

I don't know, May 4th seems kind of early and maybe a little too soon. I expect it to be released after we see a WinMo6 device already on the market.
