"Single-tap" predictive text comes to Windows Mobile smartphones
"Zi Corp.'s single-tap predictive text software will be embedded in Oswin Technology's full range of smartphones, which run a variety of OSes including Windows Mobile for smartphones and Pocket PCs. eZiText is claimed to provide fast, efficient, and intuitive text entry through truly predictive one-touch entry and word completion." Now this will be nice to see! Anything that helps with text entry on a phone is a blessing.

I've often wondered why T9 didn't automatically finish off the word you are typing - like the AutoComplete feature on Pocket PC's. I would love to see this made available as a download for Smartphones. I don't want to have to buy a new device to get a new input method!

Motorola's iTap does the same thing - and works well on my MPX220 Windows-Smartphone.

The C500 / SMT5600 already does most of this, doesn't it?
Type "8666" (tomo, for tomorrow) and you can add a word (tomorrow). Next time it should appear at/near the top of the list so you can select it easily.
Am I missing something?

I see the difference being that this new method already has all the words loaded in it. So you don't have to add every word you ever tap out.

I don't know. I don't think I've heard of anyone adding a language. If you change the locale setting under regional settings, does it change the available languages? It's just a guess. :?

If I change locale, the T9 langue stays the same, exept if I chooce France of Germany then it changes to French or German.
But if I choose Spain or PR the language stays in English. It is frustrating I need to write SMS and email in Spanish.
