Qtek 8010 ROM Update Released

If you have a Qtek 8010 (C500/Audiovox to the rest of us), then you'll be happy to know that Qtek has just released a ROM Update. It looks like they have updated Java Manager, SIM Manager, there is a Bluetooth fix, and a patch for Windows Media Player. It's not clear if this will upgrade your player to version 10 or not. On the downside, the update is only for the Swedish version.

That is not quite true, Brightpoint (the retailer) also sells their phones in norway, so it can be used outside sweden (I just upgraded my phone and that went fine)

If it's anything like the recent ROM update for the Qtek8080 from the same site - then the upgrade should work fine in English (and other?)phones.

It worked fine in my UK Qtek 8080 and all instructions were in English.

What's the worst that can happen? Yes, well....there is that.
