Electriplast, a new, highly conductive resin, could turn a cell phone into its own antenna. The material, also called Plastena, conducts electricity, heat, and radio signals nearly as well as copper. Unlike copper, though, Electriplast can be mixed with plastics and take on practically any shape the plastics can. This could allow phones to have longer battery life, better reception, and fewer dropped calls.
Oh yeah, the stuff can be used in things like defibrillators and pacemakers, too. As long as I get better battery life on my phone, those are just side-benefits :wink:
