Orange Releases C500 ROM Upgrade Featuring WMP10
Orange has just released a ROM upgrade for the C500 which features Windows Media Player 10 and compatibility with THB car kit. The new ROM version should read 4.2.1.1 under Start / Settings / About. Make sure your battery is fully charged and that you have backed up all your data prior to the running the upgrade. I'm downloading a copy right now, and I'm working on backing up all my data. Anyone else running this update, please let us know how things went - good or bad.

I haven't installed it yet...my C500 is with Pocket PC Techs to see if they can clean all the dust from under the screen. :roll: |

Is there any word yet on which smartphones will have Windows Mobile 5 when shipping? I am Soooo tempted by the C550, but it's not running Windows mobile 5 (yet, if at all).

The Cingular Audiovox 5600 already has it for one.

The C550 doesn't have WM10?! Are you sure? If they didn't load WMP10 on that phone, then they're out to lunch.
I've heard that new C500's have it, the Audiovox has always had it. I don't think i-mate has it. Anyone know what the SDA has?
