Default Hey Microsoft, Have You Read This? Wake Up!

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080331...brand_poll_dc_1

"The Apple brand has the biggest impact on the world's consumers, while Microsoft and the United States nation brand are those considered most in need of a remake, a survey showed on Monday. Apple has clearly captured the hearts and minds by leading across most categories. Microsoft, the world's largest software maker was also a winner, but it received the dubious honor of the brand most readers wanted to argue with, and the one they most wanted to revamp. Discussing Apple, one anonymous reader said there was "never a dull moment" with the company "reinventing itself all along and providing, over and over again, a new perspective on what we thought was carved in stone." At the other end of the spectrum, Microsoft had "gone from innovative and bold to stodgy and follower," said another unnamed reader."

This really doesn't surprise me. We've all been saying it for quite some time now. The website Brandchannel has created a survey on the influence of brands. Do you think Microsoft knows they are in need of a huge change? Do you think they care? Do they have so much money they just don't feel the need to be innovative? Do they want to be but don't have the talent? What do you think it is? Or, do you feel they are exactly where they need to be and you''re perfectly happy with what's coming out of Redmond? You can find the results of the survey here. When you're done reading, be sure and come back and let us know if you agree or disagree and any other thoughts you may have.

Microsoft just seems to always get lax when they lead in any area. Then when someone comes along and threatens/competes with that lead they buy the company. With Windows Mobile, Apple has come along with the iPhone. They of course can't buy Apple so now they are joining them with future Microsoft software for the iPhone instead of thinking outside the box with WM and innovating the product.

Sorry to say but I feel strongly that Windows Mobile will soon go away as Apple builds the iPhone for both the consumer all ages and business.

I've went from a dedicated and loyal Microsoft user to the opposite. I now look for other alternatives to MS software and hardware whenever I can just because I'm so disgusted with them.

Why is there a post every other day about how the iPhone is the second coming of Jesus Christ? Yes, we all get it that the iPhone has a better interface, but I don't think complaining on here is going to do anything.

Sorry but didn't you read the questions asked by the original poster? My opinion was asked for and I gave it.

I believe that war was long over. MS has a significant interest in Apple for years now.

Hence Apple's interest in development of consumer electronics
