Default Google Calendar Rolls Out for Mobiles

http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2007/05/25/google-calendar-rolls-out-for-mobiles/

"Google's rumored and real romp through mobile space continues with the announcement of its Google Calendar application's support for mobiles. The calendar seems to work perfectly, displaying a day by day view of your world and your plans for it, though, sadly, we couldn't find any way to remove events one they were added. Events can be added by typing a description of your appointment in the "Quick Add" box at the bottom of the screen. For example, typing "Pause for dinner today 16:00" (or 4 pm) adds that event to your calendar. This is a pretty handy tool if you rely heavily on your Google calendar or aren't into all that Windows Mobile Calendar syncin' business."

I don't use Google Calendar for my appointments, but for those of you who do, Google Calendar for mobile devices is here. Like everything else with Google it's in beta. Why is that by the way? How long can Gmail be in beta? Anyway, if Google Calendar for mobile devices is what you've been waiting for, you can read about it at Engadget Mobile or you can go to calendar.google.com on your mobile device and keep your almost missed appointments.

Send a message via MSN to johncruise

hate to admit it but a while ago when I first read this article, I said to myself "why would I want to use google calendar to view my calendar if I have my wm dev with me? it just doesn't makes sense". then I realize that I own and belong to other google groups that host their calendars/meeting scheds via google. now (after bonking my head) I realize the full potential and benefit of this new tool by google.

kudos to the team who develop this over google. thanks also to pete for posting this. bookmarking now...

While neat, it's not of much use to me. I'll be interested to see if they roll out a "Yahoo"-like mobile software package.
