I received mine this past Friday (should have been Thursday, but my wife wasn't home to sign for UPS...damn her eyes!)
I think that this might finally be the end of my Smartphone search. I was a Treo 650 user and loved the one-handedness (is that a word?) it offered.
I love the latest & greatest, so when the Tytn came out I jumped after it. It was VERY hard to transition over to the large brick w/sliding keyboard (I'm a sales guy on the road most days, so need the ability to one-hand type for emails, etc.) Needless to say when the Treo 750v came out for Vodaphone & listed my Tytn on eBay & picked-up the 750...it was wonderful, but still a little big.
Since my Cingular contract was up, I renewed & picked-up a 3525 (aka HTC StarTrek) for weekends (or just times when I didn't want such a large phone.) I loved the slim/small form factor, but missed they keyboard.
Lo & behold the Vox...it's just as small as the 3525 (StarTrek/Qtek 8500/etc.) WHEN CLOSED, but just as powerful as the Treo 750 (IMHO).
I pre-ordered one from Expansys USA (Mobile Planet) for $459.95 back on 4/10 (pretty good price); 2nd day Air was only $20.95, so I'm happy with what I paid. What made me nuts was the waiting and constand delivery date changes on their site...initially said 2 weeks, then 2 days, then 3 days, then a month, back to 10 days...

ops:
The radio seems to be just as good (if not a little better) as the Treo's. Even though it's missing 3G (and damn it I'm in a great HSDPA area between Triad NC, Charlotte & Columbia SC area most of the time), the WiFi makes up (as there are plenty of Panera's & small coffee houses w/free hot spots.)
Battery is a little short...I didn't even get a full day today (first day of real full business use.) But considering I was surfing web & checking email via WiFi WITH the Bluetooth radio going (headset) and taking the occasional call, I can't say that I'm surprised. A quick trip to my local Cingular store for a car charger will take care of that for the future (until an aftermarket battery comes out, that is.)
Running FlexMail 2007, Agendus Professional for Smartphone, Resco Battery & Memory & Yahoo Go! 2.0 (gamma...give me a break) without any crashes or losses.
I'll report back in a few days (as I'll be out and about Tues & Wed on the road) to see how more road warrior & meeting use goes.
