Default Fonix VoiceDial Now Supports Smartphone

http://www.fonix.com/page.cfm?name=product_fonix_voicedial&ID=14

"Fonix VoiceDial is a totally interactive, hands-free software application that enables you to place calls by number or by contact. Simply speak the number or name to call, and VoiceDial does the rest. It's that easy!

Best of all, there's no voice training required. VoiceDial puts the power of speech into phone dialing with minimal user demands — in the car, at home, in the office — anytime you want a better, safer and easier way to dial your contacts."

I installed this and played around with it for a bit - it's a very impressive. The fact that it works right away is amazing. The first time you run it, it takes a few seconds to scan your contacts list and then you're ready to go - no special setup or training! We'll be doing a full review of this app soon, but I can already tell that this is going to be another must-have.

Here's the my favorite part - we're giving away 5 to registered readers! You can get the free trial version right here or purchase the Smartphone version from Fonix here for $14.95.

Wow, very cool. This looks like a great app, and I think it will be one of first applications I load on my Smartphone when I get it.

Not yet - we're still working on forming a review team (any volunteers?) but I can give you a quick summary of VoiceDial:

It's an awesome app and I highly recommend grabbing the free trial, making sure it works with your voice (some people with accents have reported problems), and purchasing a copy.

Karl, the i600 already has a pretty good voice dialer built in. It can be trained to your voice and contacts as well.
