Buy An Audiovox SMT5600 And Add $25 To Your Pocket
It was just 4 days ago that we told you that the Audiovox SMT5600 was available on Amazon's website for just $224.99 with a service contract. I'm happy to report, that the Audiovox SMT5600 can now be purchased from Amazon for -$25.01. Yes, you read that right. You get $25.01 back when you buy this phone. You can thank Amazon for a nice $200 rebate form, and AT&T for a pretty decent $50 rebate. 8) The phone must be purchased before November 3rd, even if the phone doesn't ship by then. 1 year AT&T activation is also required. So what are you waiting for? Run to your closest browser and order this amazing new Smartphone! [Affiliate]

To get the $50 AT&T rebate you need a 2-year activation, not just 1-year.
But it's also interesting that they have the mpx220 listed on that same rebate - it must be right on the horizon for AT&T.

Ok, so if you don't get the 2 year, you still get the $200 rebate. Which means this phone cost you $25. Amazing price, none the less.

Oh... Never looked at the list of phones. I'll have to pay closer attention to that.

If you look closer, they don't have the MPX220 on the Amazon rebate, but rather the V220. Why Motorola would name two phones so close together is beyond me.
I'm about to click the buy button at Amazon for this one though.

I was referring to the same rebate that requires the two-year activation - the $50 AT&T rebate. It's definitely the mpx220 - it has a massive picture of it. See it here.

Yup, that's the MPx220 alright. The rebate offer is good from Oct 12th until Jan 6th. So I'm guessing we're going to see this phone sometime in the next month or so.

Has anyone here purchased the SMT5600 from Amazon with the rebate?
I already got one for $150 (and I am not looking back) but I want to refer my friends/family/co-workers to the Amazon link.
Do people have to pay the $250 up front? Is it a mail-in or instant rebate?

The $200 Amazon rebate is a mail in rebate, same as the AT&T $50 rebate.
So they do pay upfront, but you'll get more money back than you paid for the phone!

I decided paying $25 (with one year contract) was too good to pass up. I did have to pay the $250 upfront, and then I will receive a rebate at some point in the future.
This will be my first smartphone and I'm very much looking forward to using it and developing some software for it. I only wish AT&T had cheaper data plans.
