FWIW, when the MPx220 came out last year, Amazon sold it for $399 w/o a contract, and it was still locked to AT&T.

Yeah, be very careful ordering the phone without contract. I bought a Nokia phone that way from Amazon several years ago, and it was still locked, even though I paid full price.

I imagine that this is still locked. So you'll have to find someone to unlock it.
