http://www.vitotechnology.com/en/support/news/news_detail.php?ID=730

"VITO Technology announces an update of its well-known voice dialing application VITO VoiceDialer to version 1.6. New features available: Improved recognition engine is at a cutting edge coping even with most unfavorable surrounding noise conditions, Searching through contacts while in a learning mode, Supporting a 240X320 screen resolution on brand-new smartphones, and New funny animations."

If your Smartphone doesn't have a voice dialer, or you want something a little more robust, then you should check out VITO's VoiceDialer. The improved audible recognition in unfavourable conditions and QVGA support could make this a real winner as we move forward to Windows Mobile 5 devices.

The ONLY thing I miss from my old MPx220 is the true voice recognition software. There was no need to record a voice tag, it simply found the contact based on the name you say. Since I switched to the SMT5600 I've been looking for the same type software. When I saw this story, I thought I had found what I was looking for. Oh well, I guess I just threw away $15. Should have read a little more closely. Anyone know of something out there that will do what the 220 does?

Pull? Me? Well.... It's on my list to discuss when I meet with them later this week.

I just bought the Audiovox SMT 5600 Smartphone so I'm kind of new to this whole Smartphone thing. I also bought that SmarVoice software but realized during the installation that it's not compatible with my phone. Hopefully I can get a refund. Can someone tell me where I can find software that's specifically for my phone?

I thought Vito's solution worked on all the Smartphones now. No?

Ah, I see. Sorry, I thought you had this software.

Did you know that the SMT5600 has voice tags built in? Here's a quick little how-to that I wrote a while back, in case you're interested.
