infoSync World has reported that MiTAC will provide an application unlock service.

"According to a notice on the MiTAC JustMio web site, an online service enabling users to unlock their smartphones will be made available some time in October. There is no mention of whether the company will charge for this service."

You can find the notice here. This is great news for folks who like installing software on their phones - and who doesn't?
