Default Timberland - New Screensaver from Handy Entertainment

http://www.smartphone.net/smartphonethoughts/software_detail.asp?id=1609

"What a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere reigns in this paradise spot! A sunny glade in the middle of the emerald green backwoods is dotted with flowers and mushrooms. The suburbs are populated by exotic song-birds and cute furry creatures. People in a little wooden hut lead a quiet life in harmony with nature. Welcome to Timberland, a creative and inspiring environment to work and relax in. Bundled with screensaver manager this program autolaunches and stays on in the cradle, starts upon plug-in and works on battery."

Interesting dilemma. On my 5600 the longest I can set my backlight to stay on is one minute (or never turn off). The shortest time you can set the screensaver to start up is one minute. Right when the screensaver comes on the screen goes dark. If you hit a key so you can light the screen the screensaver ends. To sum things up you cant see the screen saver unless you leave the screen lit all the time on the 5600 anyway.

Maybe it's the Pocket PC, but isn't there a setting that allowed the screen to stay on while the device is charging? I can't seem to find it on my phone. (I guess that's a good indication that this was just a Pocket PC setting, eh?)

No unfortunately. Lets hope WM5 fills this hole. I may have found a work around for this though. I'll post something after I have tested it a bit more.

I can't help it but with my MPX220 I don't see the need for this.

There's really no need for it on anything. It's just amusing to look at.

I wish they were more prompt about sending out registration codes. Still waiting.

Still no registration code and according to their forum, there is a problem entering the code on the Audiovox 5600.

Well, it is the weekend now. Did you just register it on Friday? You might need to wait until Monday. just a thought.

The reg code issue is a little concerning. I hope it's just a simple little problem.
