One does NOT exist unfortunately. Modaco.com has created a petition to Macromedia, but they have not responded.

Avoid flash, it's nonstandard garbage. If you need vector animation, SVG and SMiL are standards.

Show me a PC that doesnt have the plugin installed?
In fact, it seems to be more and more utilized everyday even beyond "flashy" websites. Developers are starting to use it as their front end in web applications.

I'm not trying to argue...but you can't say that it's garbage when it's so widely used. And I havnt even heard of the things you are mentioning...but that doesnt mean anything as there are alot of things I havn't heard of.

Flash for the Smartphone would be great, not to see the flash sites that exist on the web...as most will never fit on the screen.

But simple applications and games could be created, playable via your Pocket Internet Explorer. There are a ton of options here and Macromedia would be crazy if they didnt allow flash developers to take advantage of it.
