Tasks function not working on Smartphone (Cingular 2125)

Hello,
New to the forum, but seems like some great info here. Hope you can help. On my old Smarthphone (Audiovox 5600), the sync (via USB cable) with the Outlook Task function was fine, as it only synced tasks not yet completed. However, I recently got a Cingular 2125 and the sync function has not been working. It now syncs completed and not completed items (I have over 2000 completed tasks so it fills up the memory on my phone).
I've tried to change settings in Outlook, on my phone, called Cingular cust service, and no one can help me.

Do any of you know how to get around this problem or configure Outlook or my device accordingly? Thanks in advance.

Have you looked at the settings in ActiveSync?
