I-mate Smartphone users will soon be able to access on their mobile phones the files stored on their home and work computers. i-mate has released the Pocket PC version and according to the FAQ, the Smartphone version will be available soon. For the time being check out the demo and screen shots of the Pocket PC version. And I hope they provide a trial version of this software [the Pocket PC version costs $89.99]. Could it be possible that i-mate is waiting for the launch of the Wi-Fi and EDGE enabled Smartphones for announcing the Smartphone version of 1-View? ;-)

Oh, this sounds so interesting until the $90 price tag! Why do I get the feeling that this will be a subscription too. Which means we'll have to pay that every year!

I got the same feeling. But couldn't confirm my fears.
