Default Smart Explorer Updated to Version 2.1

http://www.binarys.com/SmartExplorer_en.asp

"Smart Explorer lets you manage the files and folder on your phone. Using an original system, you can do operation such as cut-copy-past on several files/folders at a time. You can also search for a file or folder, send a file by email, via infrared or bluetooth."

Smart Explorer has been updated with many new features and bug fixes that included faster Bluetooth transfers, QVGA support, and improved ZIP handling, to name a few. You can view the complete list on the Binarys website. It looks like the upgrade is free to all existing customers. If you don't already have a copy, you can buy a copy from our affiliate store for $8.99 and then download the upgrade from the Binarys website.

I've been looking forever for a way to send files via Bluetooth. Is this the only way?

There is no built-in way to do it. At least, not that I am aware of. There could be other apps out there that do this too, I'm not sure.

Default How to send files over BT

There is a way at least on my SMT5600.
1) Go to file explorer and select a file or multiple files
2) Select "Menu/Send/Beam". It will start searching for the bluetooth devices around.
3) Select destination device and press "beam".

It works fine with the Pocket PC, but I was unable to make it work with the desktop.

In File Explorer on my MPx 220 I can select the file and hit Menu, Send and Recieve, via Bluetooth. It will search for near by devices and list them, you select the one you want, and hit Beam. Works like a charm.

Can you send using the basic file manager?

Nope. That's another reason to use third-party software.
