Phone Specific Apps for Smart Phones - Volume Issues, Etc.

Hi all,
Just got a Treo 750 smartphone running Windows Mobile 5.
What great apps do you know of that are phone specifici?
1.) Specificly, Im looking for something that will alow me to boost my volume during a call. Seems these TREOs are notorious for bad volume. Any help you can provide is great!
2.) Also, any apps you recommend hat are mandatory.
3.) Is there a way to upgrade a Windows Mobile 5 phone to 6?

You would probably have better luck on PocketPC Thoughts since the Treo is a PPC Phone device.
