Default Gizmodo Reviews Zumobi Mobile Browser

http://gizmodo.com/345793/lightning-review-zumobi-mobile-browser

"The Microsoft backed Zumobi browser for Windows Mobile 5 and 6 phones consists of bite-sized web content called "tiles" (a new fangled term for "widget") that offers users a customized, shareable web browsing experience. ... Zumobi is, in reality, a fancy widget application. So don't be fooled into thinking that this is some sort of robust new browser for Windows Mobile devices. Basically, Zumobi piggybacks on Internet Explorer to provide content for these "tiles" that can range from news content to small apps and games. Zumobi currently falls under the invisible "beta" umbrella of protection, but nonetheless, I found my experience with the platform to be largely frustrating and generally unentertaining (except for the douchebag part in the video)."

Have you tried out the Zumobi mobile browser? Do you share the same thoughts as those expressed in the lightning review? In my opinion this application requires not only fast hardware but also fast network. In my case the Dash didn't offer either, so I also gave up on this application with the same thoughts as the Gizmodo editor.

I've tried it on my Blackjack. It is a little slow at UI rendering at some spots, but I found it to be an interesting approach to interaction. A faster CPU would definitely help the feel of it.

I like the idea. In fact would like to see this used for maybe the start menu it self. But they need to fix the speed. Hopefully the final release will fix the sluggishness!
