Default Efficasoft Releases Version 3.0 of GPRS Traffic Monitor

http://www.smartphone.net/smartphonethoughts/software_detail.asp?id=1350

"The Smartphone GPRS Traffic Monitor by Efficasoft, allows you to monitor GPRS data usage both graphically and numerically on your smartphone, thereby giving you more control on your mobile phone bill. Written in native C code, the Smartphone GPRS Traffic Monitor is less than 50KB in size and is especially designed to consume minimum system resources."

If you're on a pay-per-use data plan, you should have a GPRS monitor to help track your usage and warn you that you are fast approaching another record high mobile phone bill. Efficasoft has just released version 3 of their GPRS monitor. You can download a trial copy or purchase a license for $7.95 from our affiliate store.

This could be useful. The first month I had my first Bluetooth-enabled phone, I blew through eight MBs on a two MB plan, on a Pocket PC, in less than a week. But I wonder why something like this isn't part of the OS.

I've often wondered the same thing. Thankfully, there are some nice 3rd party tools to fill the gap.
