Default CityTime Reviewed at Jenneth's

http://www.jenneth.info/archives/000242.html#more

Knowing what time it is elsewhere in the world is an especially useful feature on a phone, when you could be calling someone at 4 am without realizing your mistake. Nick reviews CityTime, a popular world time application for PDAs that's been ported (well, even) to the Smartphone. The application is still waiting on certification for those of you with un-hacked SPVs.

"Your home Date/Time is visible at the top of the screen in the title bar, followed by a map illustrating real-time daytime/nighttime areas as well as twilight areas which can be customized to Civil (shown), Nautical, Astronomical, Ionospheric, or none. (I can go look up their actual meanings and usages and pretend that I know what I’m talking about here, but I don’t really know what any of these mean so I just chose Civil…I am civilized, after all!)

Also on the main screen are your choices of 2 or 4 individual cities from around the world, their positions on the map, day and time, as well as the phase of the moon. There are 487 cities to choose from. (give or take a couple as I counted 3 times and got 3 different totals…I chose the middle one!)

There are some other cool tools as well included in the program. These include a Sunrise/Sunset calculator with multiple type settings. An Internet Time Synchronization tool that opens an internet connection at your request to sync your phone’s time. As well as a nice time calculator."
