changing default contact view from "last, first" to "first last"

is there a way to change the default format for view by in my contacts list to FIRST LAST instead of LAST, FIRST. I hate having to scroll down and fixing that.

and to top it off, if i edit the contact at all, maybe add a pic, or change their number or change the ringtone, it goes back to LAST, FIRST automatically for some reason... so I have to scroll back down there and change it.

can i fix this somehow? perhaps a reg hack or something?

The only method that I know of is in desktop Outlook. If you change the "display as" or "file as" in the contact screen on the desktop Outlook for the contacts that you want to be shown as first+last and re-sync the list, you should be all set. I believe Outlook desktop has a more global setting to change that as well.

Mobile device uses the file as or display as field to generate the sorted list.
