Default Verizon's i600 Info Sheet

Here's a little something for those of you taking the "I'll believe it when I see it" approach to Verizon's imminent release of the Samsung i600. Member thetruth has sent us copies of the scans he posted to Howard Forms.

Read on for more.

Here's a scan of the information sheet that Verizon has created:

And the Samsung information sheet detailing the phone:

One thing that's news to me on this sheet is the voice recognition features. Voice activated phonebook and menu commands are a pretty common feature request. I'd say this falls in the good news category!

Cool!

David, do you have higher-res pics that you can link to from each of the "thumbnails"? Some of the print on the spec sheet is hard to read.

Default Motorloa or Samsung

Because I am already a Verizon customer I'm probably more inclined to go with the Samsung phone.

However, if Verizon offered the new Motorla 200 phone, which is a better phone overall and what are the pluses and minuses of each?

Appreciate any insight. I am looking forward to these new devices but am concerned about the text input. While I want to move away from my pocket pc at least there are multiple text entry options. Text entry on a phone keybad is painful for me. The Treo 600 seems to be a nice solution with the keyboard but I'm not interested in using a palm device....

I stopped by Verizon today and picked up a flyer. They didn't have an exact date yet, but they did expect it "very, very soon."

Wonder how much this will cost. Verizon's other "smartphones" aren't exactly cheap, the Kyocera 7135 is $500 and the Samsung SPH-i700 Pocket PC PE is $600....
