Default Registration Page for Motorola Q News

http://direct.motorola.com/hellomoto/famlaunch/a2/

For those of you who just can't get enough information about the hopefully upcoming Motorola Q here is another link to some news and a little flash movie of the device. You can register to get email informing you when it is released. I think that you will probably hear about it here first though but hey, Moto is trying.

not sure if anyone noticed, but I think the external memory is mini sd once again. does anyone know if mini sd supports the same features as SDIO? i suppose it all depends on the implementaion in the device. I saw the mention of the MiniSD WiFi so I suppose so, but it will depend on the handset manufacturers whether or not to support it.

External memory is indeed miniSD. :-(

I am also hoping that the miniSD WiFi will also launch by the time Moto Q launches.

Wish the flash movie had more pictures and some more info (read hardware specs). :-(

This device is super slim...

Lets hope that Motorola sends out the email on time. Not like the MPx220 announcement. :-)

And not to forget, Motorola please don't have a special promotion based launch like you did for the MPx220.

I hope Moto has learnt its lessons from the MPx220 launch and also launch failure of MPx.

Because if your phone has built-in Wi-Fi then it has built-in antenna for the Wi-Fi but if it has Wi-Fi on the card then it doesn't have such antenna and the protruding part of the Wi-Fi card (that "sticks out") serves as the antenna. I reckon that technically it would be possible cards that don't stick out but reception of such cards would be extremely poor (think of putting your phone into metal box and trying to receive Wi-Fi signal in it)...
