Default DRIVER: Think Outside Released Smartphone Drivers for Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard

http://www.ppcw.net/?itemid=2275

"Do you remember my preview of the Think Outside Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard driver for Smartphone I wrote about last week? Finally Think Outside made the driver publicly available and you can get if from the support page! Beside the Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard, also think Outside's IR Wireless is supported and Think Outside supports most of today's Windows Mobile Smartphones which either includes IrDA or Bluetooth! I've successfully used the Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard with my Motorola MPx220, my i-mate SP3i and a T-Mobile SDA and it works just great!"

I guess this is a nice thing. To me this just seems to defeat the purpose of the smartphone if you are carrying a keyboard around with you.

Now, if someone would just release Bluetooth drivers that let me do things like voice navigate, voice call, etc from my MPX220. The Motorola voice recognition is very good. I have about 600 names in my contacts folder, i have yet to find one I cant easily voice find and dial. Too bad I have to hold up my phone to voice dial, then set it down as my BT250 kicks in and delivers call.

I agree, a big KB on a SP is nutty. I still have a PPC because you just can get so small before its too small.

Actually, the KB is brilliant for people who carry a gearbag (me) and don't always want to carry their PPC (me) but still send lots of email (me).

Okay, so I'm a niche, but I like it that way

I can see that would be a good use for one in your case.

I will be ordering one next week actually... I've been waiting for a keyboard solution that'll work with my Ipaq and phone.

I am indeed a happy camper now.

I've got the Freedom Keyboard, which has had a Smartphone driver (I use my SPV C500) for some time. It's got smaller keys but compensates by having a 5th (dedicated number) row.

I don't use it much with the phone, I also have an Axim x50V, but it's nice to know that I can, and that the days of buying 1 keyboard per PDA are well and truly over!

I just ordered one from Amazon for $90.00 with free shipping. I will use it with Smartphone notes and email when I am travelling. I hope it works because almost everything I use with my MPX220 seems to be difficult to get to work as it should.

A note for anyone using this with smt5600 or probably any variant....Secure BT must be turned off under options for it to work.
