Default Comparison of MiTAC Mio 8380 and P800

http://howardforums.com/showthread.php?s=0a5e7e45c076e47898f25b9c6ae54cb1&threadid=181674%22%3eHowardForums.com

If you're still having trouble deciding whether or not to buy a MiTAC Mio 8380 Smartphone, check out the link above. Over at Howard Forums, somebody has posted several great photos comparing the Mio to Sony Ericsson's P800. These photos make it pretty easy to understand why people are complaining about the Mio being such a big device. Of all the available Smartphone devices, it has the best hardware specs (XScale processor, integrated camera) but it really does seem unnecessarily massive.

8O I'd have to agree on it being a bit large next to the Sony Ericsson. The P800 is not considered a "small" phone in anyway. It looks tiny next to the Mio.

I realize the phone looks extra big being folded out. The size goes down when tucked away on a belt, considering other photos I've seen on the web in comparison to the SPV and others.

Still, the specs are so nice on the Mio, as you said.

I see that the plastic film is still on the MiTAC. I love byuing something brand new and being able to take off the plastic film, it's such a nice feeling - a feeling of "Hey! I got something dead posh here and I'm taking off the plastic film"........

Or is it just me ops: ?

it feels great alright

although as these devices are so expensive and the screen can get marked/scratched i tend to leave mine on for as long as i can to try and keep the screen protected (although with a clam-shell devices it'a a bit easier to protect - but accidents can happen)

PPCW.net have a great article on how to create your own screen protector, i made one for i-Mate smartphone as it is a candy-bar form factor, it would be easier to get marks compared to a clam-shell device. it works really well and has lasted 2 months already:

for the P800 I use a Brando protector, which is even more important as it's a touch screen device:
