Default Windows Startup Programs

I am having a bout of brain freeze again. Where can I adjust/change the programs that start/initialize when Windows XP first boots up?

There are many places, in the start menu under startup, in the registry, etc.

I've switched to using Autoruns http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/Autoruns.html a GUI that lets me check or uncheck, or just plain delete any programs (and more) that start up.
