Default Windows Media Player 10

I have noticed that WMP 10 on my notebook has started to skip songs in random order when I am ripping CD's to the harddrive. It will say "ripped to library", but it turns out it has not been. The name of the song will be there, but if there is no time length indicated it's a no go. I tried re-installing WMP 10, but no that didn't work. Anyone have any ideas?

That's so bizarre. Are you sure they're not someplace on the drive? Can you find them in the library? Maybe you need to delete the library entry for them in order for WMP10 to re-rip them properly. WMP10 has a LOT of problems with the library feature...

Everything seems to be working normal now. I didn't do anything other than reload WMP 10. The last few CD's ripped w/o incident. The CD's that had the problem appeared to be free of smudges and no nicks so I don't know what the problem was. If it happens again I try your suggestion.
