Ran into a minor issue but the price is right and overall it worked great at naming and tagging my mp3s.

I'm looking for a REALLY great ID3 tagging tool
Jason, I use Musicmatch 7.2. Not only does it support super tagging, but it also has a feature which allows you to search the net for ID3 info and album art. I think this is only with the purchased version, but not sure. It is great for fixing both ID tags as well as file titles. Give it a try - it is great.

Regards,
Dave

Beyond Security reports a security bug in WinAmp versions 2.76 and 2.79...not a big deal really...probably more of "proof-of-concept" security problem...

...off topic: this security list is a good way to stay on top of security bugs...they almost always have the latest Microsoft exploit out days or weeks before MS itself...

Default AnalogX - TagMaster

I have used the free utility from AnalogX called TagMaster. It does a pretty good job.

ID3 Tag-It. Not the easiest to use, but it edits ID3 1.1/2.0, supports 1.1 to 2.0 conversion (and vice versa), ID3 to Filename (and vice versa), and has a nice batch editing mode (lots of keyboard shortcuts so no mouse required). It also doesn't apply changes until you exit or click "save" (so if you mess things up you're still OK).

I use one called ID3-Tag It... I don't have the URL at hand, but I remember finding it through Google so just do a search for it, i guess.

I am using the AnaogX TagMaster as well and also MPTagger. It's sometimes a bit slow to start in a folder, but then it's easy to switch between songs and make the changes. It also integrates nicely into Explorer for right-click (although it adds a lot of items).

It hasn't been updated in a while, but it does what I need it to do and is free: http://surf.to/mptagger

I use tag & rename. www.softpointer.com/tr.htm

Isn't that horrible in Winamp 3 how when you go to edit a tag you can't use Tab to switch between fields? What good is that? It takes so long! I also agree that not all the bugs are quite worked out yet. It seems to take more system resources too. Anyone else notice that? It doesn't even look as clean as version 2....
