Default T-Mobile and Cingular Temporarily Pull Motorola RAZR

http://www.mobiletracker.net/archives/2006/03/09/t-mobile-razr

"T-Mobile USA and Cingular Wireless have temporarily pulled the Motorola RAZR V3 from sales channels. MobileTracker confirmed the move with T-Mobile though a company spokesperson noted in a telephone call that the popular model is expected to begin shipping again soon, possibly next week."

I'm speechless. Truly I am. How can the premier phone, the hottest phone, the phone that launched a thousand ships. the phone to end all phones, say it isn't so! A flaw in Camelot? Impossible! I'm sure it's just a cosmetic flaw because that is all this phone is, cosmetic. Must be a problem with a pastel color or something. Ok it is not a Smartphone but those of us who suffered with our MPx220's know all too well about legendary Motorola quality. It's good to see the same quality extends to all their phones.

They had the same issues with the v600 which is when I had my last straw with Moto.

How many times do I have to tell y'all. Leave the Moto alone!

Holy Motorola bashing, Batman. You're not working for their competition are you?

I haven't suffered a bit with my MPx220. Just a bit of massaging of the ROM and settings and it's a great phone.

Jerry,
I'm not sure, but do I detect a hint of sarcasm in your response?

For around a year now people have been buying the RAZR V3 for it's beauty...

Maybe a geek finally purchased one and found out it doesn't actually deliver as advertised?

Jerry,

Thank god you got your PINK one before it was pulled. You must be very satisfied.

When the RAZR was still new I bought one so I could make people envious. Hee Hee. It worked fine for a year or so; though there certainly were some quality issues. The latch that holds the battery cover broke the first time I used it. Friction held my battery in place for a few days until Moto got around to shipping me a new unit. Later the tiny rubber bumpers on the inside of the lid fell out- both on the same day. I didn't think that would be a big deal but it resulted in the keypad imprinting itself onto the screen. When Moto started releasing RAZRs in various colors and lowered the price so that the things were becomming commonplace, I switched to my new Smartphone.

We have a Razr that my daughter uses and as far as I can see the build quality is pretty good.

Certainly seems to be better than my plastic wonder SP5. I can't see this surviving too many drops.
