Samsung Wrist Watch Phone Later This Year
 "Once again proving its technical prowess, Samsung will ship the world's first wrist watch style mobile phone, boasting GSM/GPRS, an 8-bit colour display and more in Q4. Having earned itself a reputation as a mobile phone manufacturer that dares to go new ways, Samsung is once again showing off its technical prowess. Announced at the recent CeBIT fair, Samsung's new wrist watch phone will hit shelves in Europe some time during the fourth quarter this year, boasting advanced connectivity features and a colour display."

There's a very interesting article in this month's Wired mag about Fossil and their PDA watch. Of particular note in this case here, is how they are fanatical about size - if something can't fit within their maximum allowable watch dimensions, it's not a go - people won't buy a watch that is too bulky and awkward.
As cool as a watch phone is, I have a feeling this rule will hold true - that looks gigantic!

I'd personally have some concerns about radiation having a phone strapped to my wrist... 8O

I don't know about that. Don't you keep your phone in your pocket right now? At least the wrist is mostly bone... :lol:

It would be VERY close to perfect if it was a tri-band GSM watch/phone. Isn't there an American market for this kind of gadget? I think so.
They also said the magic word: Bluetooth!
If they include support for America, I'll be in line to get one of these. Oh, and if it's not going to cost a fortune either.
