You can tell that Windows Mobile devices like Smartphones have not made a big sales impact in the cell phone world, when organizations like Reuters launch mobile news service and do not support the Windows Mobile platform. The thing that surprised me even more was that when I browsed to the mobile.reuters.com site on my Smartphone, I got the sorry your device is currently not supported message. How hard is it to design a website with mobile friendly web pages. 8O Thanks to the decent browsers like pIE and Opera on our Smartphones, we can surf the main Reuters.com website. Do you know of news sites that have mobile friendly web pages? Which is your favorite one?

Even better, they show the Treo 600 displaying the website but it isn't on the list of compatible devices!

I've just tried it on my P910i and it works fine. There doesn't seem to be any technical reason why it shouldn't function on PIE.

I've had several websites that recognize PIE as being IE, and thus send the desktop version of the web page. Reuters seems to be doing the same thing, but the desktop version of the page for mobile.reuters.com is an error that the handset is not supported...

I also was thinking the same thing. Why do they need special software, they are not pushing down news feeds or anything. :?
