Default Project Gotham 3 Is Too Realisitic

http://www.bit-tech.net/news/2005/07/01/pgr3_screenshots

"Bizarre Creations, developers of the forthcoming Project Gotham Racing 3 for Xbox 360, have hit back at accusations of faked screenshots, following last week's Studio Update. After the posting of an incredibly detailed screenshot of buildings from the game's New York level, some people believed it was so realistic as to accuse Bizarre of posting an actual photograph. To the amazement of some, the screenshot in question was indeed an in-game capture, as proven by the wireframe model released in this week's Studio Update. "This is how PGR3's artwork looks right now. On actual 360 hardware.""

I must say that I was one of those folks that thought that it was a photograph that had been touched up to look like a game screenshot. But daaaaamn... that is some crazy eye-candy, given that it is actually part of the game. Ok, I can't wait for it now.

Yeah, that's CRAZY - the images look amazing. I'm going to get an Xbox 360 when they come out or die trying.

I was trying to hold off on getting one for at least 6 months. But after seeing these pictures.... I don't know that I can wait until they are released. The quality is just amazing.

I've always thought the PGR series was underrated next to other racing series... see you in line!

Yeah, I was unsure about the XBox 360 but these screenshots have really something incredible. I just with the Playstation folks come up with some screenshots soon to delay the expenditure of all my money towards the XBox.

hehe, never saw the original, but now that I do, im giggling like a school girl. Not only at the people who called fake.. but that it actually looks that good. I'll still wait for the almost compleated games before I make any almost compleat comments.. but damn if it really does look that good, it will either kick start PC game makers into finally making their games USE those top of the line cards, or bury it for good. Thats top of the line visuals right there, and while the pc is capable of it... frankly I havnt seen a single pc game screen shot of any up coming game that looks THAT good. Morrowind looks nice, but still artifical, NFSU3 is more of the same with a few touches like bloom, and unreal3 might be that good but the player models for unreal3 were all low poly messes that relies on normal maps to fake detailed edges.

The doom3 and Source engine better get their games out now while they still pull a few more oohs and ahhs.
