Pixter Color Or Leapster?

Would love to hear comments on either of these toys. My 5 year old already has a Leap Pad, would the Leapster be redundant?

Is the Pixter just a glorified Magna-Doodle (like the Pixter 2.0 seems to be)? Very hard to find one on display anywhere around here, even harder to find the color software.
