Default Parrot Bluetooth Sound System & Other Bluetooth Developments at CeBIT

http://www.engadget.com/2006/03/12/...th-sound-syste/

"Parrot just announced their new Bluetooth Sound System which expands their once car-centric line-up of Bluetooth products to now include the living room. Each of these 2 x 60 watt Bluetooth 2.0 speakers feature EDR (for up to 3Mbps of throughput) and support for both the A2DP and AVRCP profiles. That means you can stream 16-bit audio from say, your new Samsung-i310 musicphone, straight to these speakers... when you're within 10 meters that is. The speakers also sport an RCA connector around back just in case you want to pump audio from, let's say, more traditional sources. Parrot admits that this is an unproven market but that's not going to stop 'em from rolling these out Q3 for about $425 a set."

I don't care much for the beefy pricetag, but I think this does give us a glimpse of where the future may be headed, especially with the current movement of cellphones providing MP3-player-like functionality and the ever-increasing ubiquity of Bluetooth in today's mobile devices. In addition to the speakers, Engadget has a few snapshots of Parrot's line of Bluetooth digital picture frames which can display photos taken with your Bluetooth-enabled PDA or smartphone

Finally, QOOL Labs introduced their Bluetooth Mirror Car Kit which essentially connects your car to your BT-enabled phone. This kit displays caller ID info on the mirror when a call comes in, and then allows you to engage in a wireless convesation via its built-in mic-and-speaker with the press of a button. Good luck finding any info on this kit via their website though as their website content is delivered COMPLETELY through flash animations (some approaching 1MB) on every page.
