Notebook battery optimisation guide: worth to have a look

I have seen tons of articles like 'ten ways to improve your battery life' etc. but most of them are just crap, says 'turn off the monitor if not used, enable windows power management' etc.
the below links will take you two different articles, one is basic and has usefull tips for standart users
the second article will be realy usefull if you want to get the best if you want to get from your battery

i am using a tiny asus S5 with extended battery and very happy with my runtimes, so i dont think that i will go through the steps in the advanced article but i hope this will be usefull for you
