Default Mobile office / 5.1 digital surround via laptop, in car :)

Basically i need to know some various ways of... well making a car your office, at least, media enhancements. A friend wants to use laptop with a 5.1 Digital Surround system in his new car. And also maybe install a in-car LCD for movies, stuff like that.
Any suggestions? Preferable id like those who have done it to respond with some info, maybe pics?
:P

I have no firsthand experience with this, but I'd check out MP3car.com for ideas.

The installation or use? Those cars on mp3car.com are awesome. I browse around there every so often, mainly just looking at the completed projects forum. I want to install one of those systems when I get a car after college. It would be awesome to have GPS on that and also be able to control music with WinAmp or something similar (with LARGE buttons). The only problem is that many of those don't seem that cheap. Check out the one in a guys M3, that is an awesome looking installation.
