Seems once again I'm the only one browsing on a Pocket PC. In WM2003SE, neither Pocket IE nor NetFront 3.3 is loading a page. PIE just gives me about 1 second of 'trying' then stops. No error. NetFront gives a blank white page. No red. No phofos.

Yeah, you might say I have a "thing" for Asian-inspired design. Here are some photos from my house:

(they were taken four years ago, so things have changed somewhat, but you get the idea)

All the photos? There aren't any photos on the home page. Or do you mean my Smugmug site?

Come on, that shouldn't surprise you. ;-) At any rate, I've implemented a plugin that converts the site into a mobile format. It's an XHTML theme that, while sparse, does the trick. Hit it again.

Not surprised, just amused that so many Pocket PC users don't use them online. A dialup modem was the very first accessory I bought for my first Casio. Camera came second. But I know, most people seem to like PCs better... sigh.

The mobile version looks good, thanks Jason. And congratulations. I think you're becoming what Dale might have, had he stuck it out: omnipresent.

:soapbox:

One thing Jason is that Dale isn't is approachable and personable.

I met Jason at the 2003 CES. He talked to me for a bit, and so on, and was truly friendly. Dale, on the other hand couldn't be bothered.

Now I'm not saying I'm some high-on-the-totem-pole guy, but when someone tells you they're a fan of your work and you're utterly disinterested, it's a big turnoff. Jason didn't do that. Dale did.

Not a knock on Dale, though. Maybe he was having a bad day. Maybe his dog crapped on his carpet. Maybe he just didn't like my handshake. Who knows. Truth is, that kind of impression sticks with people a long time and I never forgot it.

I finally got around to listening to the "Side Salad" podcast, really enjoyed it. Mr. Dunn, it's a pleasure to hear you share your thoughts (no pun intended) on the various topics (vista, zune, windows mobile, 360, etc.). A regular Dunn Thoughts podcast would very likely be a hit.
