"ChatNow is the name of Hasbro’s new communication device designed for the tween (8-12) market. Aiming for those members of America’s youth who are just a bit too young to have a cellphone (though probably not according to the target market), the ChatNow system will allow the members of Jojo’s fan-club to call or text one another using walkie-talkie technology. Developing their device around short radio technology, Hasbro allows parents to enable their child’s communication without entering into a service contract. Did anyone here see the movie "In Good Company"? There is a scene in it where they talk about creating cellphones aimed at the kid market. Pretty funny, until I saw this. :roll:

Ummmmm . . . I dont know what to think about this either. Is it really necessary for kids to have celll phones? I dont think so :?

There is plenty of time for them to be addicted to all this stuff. I say leave em innocent a bit longer. No phones.
