"Very cool! A “self healing” device that re-syncs with the network is a brilliant idea."

Yes, a brilliant idea ripped directly from the Danger Hiptop.

You mentioned that one day you found that you had no signal and then your watch just reset. Does anyone know if you travel out of range what will happen. Will it keep the previous infomration it was holding or will it simply erase everything?

Do you know what may have caused it to reset in the first place?

Even though I did return this watch because I didn't like the service, there was one cool feature. I live in Orange County and had my weather setup to Anaheim, CA. When I went to San Diego for the weekend, the weather automatically updated to San Diego, CA. I thought this was pretty cool. Although, when I came back to Orange County, it took forever to update again. :?

I have a feeling that if they offered services in my area I would buy one. I hate watches that only do one thing. I know the purpose of a watch it to tell time but that's not good enough for me. I need multi-funtion. The watch is use right now is the Laks USB watch. It's so useful.

If you travel out of range, the watch should keep all the information it has already downloaded. However, you will obviously not get any new updates. (And it still functions as a great time piece. :-))

I'm guessing that Jason's watch was a victim of the static problem that Fossil has been having with some of their watches. Apparently a static shock has the possibility to cause the watches to "hard reset". Fossil knows the problem, and have already fixed it in most of their new units. If you get one that has this problem though, they are doing replacements on them.

Default Suunto

I bought the Suunto e couple of months back, and love it. I have no connection problems at home or at work (Minneapolis), and my appointments and alarms work fine. The buttons are easy to press, and when you puch a button to read more, the font shrinks and the whole news story/message/appointment is quite easy to read. The size is no biggie to me, and it looks much more elegant than the fossil.
