Hmm - that doesn't bother me as much as the "62 winners from New York" bit. You know this has to be some ancient, 19th-century law on the books. What a gip -- NY is the third (fourth?) largest state with ~ 15-20 million people. Whereas Iowa could have 200 winners out of a population of ~ 2 million! :?

I believe Jason covered this when he was seeking a way of generating site revenues, when he was considering what to do with 'donations' for review - if he wanted to raffle/auction/prize offer those goods, he had to do "something" (The maths question in this example) to ensure he complied with Canadian law regarding the methodology of dispension being a fair and 'contest' type event - otherwise he would be liable to taxes and so on?

I can't find the original thread though so don't quote me!
