10 Years On: "The Road Ahead"

For some historic off topic reading, how about a spin through the past 10 years of computing? Why? Well, it's been ten years since Bill Gates wrote a book about his vision of where computing was going, called "The Road Ahead". Yogi Berra once said, "It's tough to make predictions, especially about the future." Overall Bill comes out pretty well, with a good number of hits and few misses. The Bit-Techs article is good recap of where we've been and where we might be going in IT.

It came out pre-98 with a CD. Trouble is it will not play in today's flavor of Windows. Ironic that forecasts from past are silent by the technology of the future. :?
