Geek.com's First Impressions of the Zune

It's good to see that not everyone is having issues getting the Zune up and running. How about you? Was your initial Zune setup a rosy experience?

I would have to say my experience has been pretty decent. Syncing music was super easy once I found my way around the Zune software. Operation of device itself has been very nice. I don't have any major complaints.

Here in Camp Garcia we report no problems sofar, except for getting my tv shows in the Zune.

I had to run my tv shows through Ulead VideoStudio 10 to convert my tv shows to WMV. After that was finished, the files sync'd to my Zune without its software trying to convert them again. Very nice.

No real problems here either. Everythings went pretty smooth so far. I'm pleased with the hardware. (It kept me company during my 10 hour wait for the Wii!) The only major complaint I have so far is the lack of NetCast (PodCast) support. Sure, I can manually get my 'Casts on the unit, but I like having a seperate selection for them in the UI. Hopefully that will be rectified soon.
