Finally, Cingular (the "new" AT&T) admits the battery problem with the Blackjack! Get your IMEI and sign up now, order will be processed within 2 weeks:

Thanks for the great heads-up. Just ordered mine in a flash (don't forget, you'll need your IMEI number which you can get by entering *,#,0,6,# on the dialpad).

My regular batteries (non-3G area) work great with a nightly recharge. However, how can you pass up a freebie like this for extended weekends, travel, etc. Someday we may even get 3G out here in the wilderness.

Also noticed the Blackjack is FREE, after rebates and new 2-year contract at Amazon - can't beat that.

Wow, I sure hope this is legitimate! I was a little nervous about entering all of this information on a non-cingular.com site, but the greed for a new battery got the better of me!

Interesting.... Where did you read about this? I don't see any information about them admitting a battery problem.

I had been complaining for a week with my Cingular Business account representative and he gave me this address. This offer is legit, this web site processes all Cingular rebates.

I did a WhoIs on the Web domain name and got this:
Young America Corporation
ATTN: WEB-REBATES.COM
c/o Network Solutions
P.O. Box 447
Herndon, VA 20172-0447

I know that Young America does process the rebates for Cingular. And this domain has been active since 1999. So it does not look like an overnight site.
